I am actually worshipper of Kuladeivam namely 'Anadhayee pudavakari 'an amman. iam told by my family elders that my family ancesstors had originally migrated from then Arcot area somewhere near Thiruvannamalai may be during Thippusultan regime controlling Arcot princely state ruled by Arcot nawab. It seems that our ancestors were sent by the rulers to accompany the troops of the Arcot kingdom during tippusulthan period. we still practice some of the rituals akin to deepam indicating referrence of thiruvannamalai deepam in our marriages and death ceremonies by our elders. even these practices are disappearing now in to obliviaon due to advent of modern technolgy in our day today life.
With this above information , iam looking for possible links of our ancestors in the surroundings of Thiruvannamalai area with the the help of the clue that there may be amman temple inthe name of Anandhayee pudavaikari in rural villages near thiruvannamalai hill.If some villagers are still worshipping the deity as their kuladeivam , i may be informed of the same so that i can try to establish links of our ancestry to the resident ancestors of nearby Thiruvannamalai hill if they also worship This family Deity. My cell no is 9444015453 for contact.
